History

Collective Seeds Consulting Cooperative originated in 2010 as Allen Creek Consulting. This was a project of Jim Jones, formerly of NASCO and a 2008 inductee into the Cooperative Development Foundation’s National Cooperative Hall of Fame. Initially, Allen Creek served as a vehicle for Jim and others to provide part-time assistance and one-off contracts and projects.

In 2012, additional cooperative movement activists and professionals signed on, and we were hired to staff the Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy, which took place July 26-28, 2013 in Philadelphia.

In 2013, we formally incorporated as a cooperative corporation under our new name, Collective Seeds Consulting Cooperative.
